"It downloads packages as needed, and compiles (quite fast) offline just like it says on the box. There's even some nice quality of life features: (1) When you recompile it stays on the same page, so that you don't have to scroll back down. (2) The console output is available after you compile but doesn't display automatically, so it doesn't waste time printing it to the screen. The app has some very minor problems with tikzcd; it still works on the whole, but you need to fiddle with it a bit."

"I have regularly used it to correct texts when on the go. And it works great! Only problem: forward referencing (e.g. referring to an item in the references) produces only "??". I resolve that problem by running the pdf generation twice, so that the latex files are all there.... From that on it works. One small problem with tikz: labels on nodes are formatted wrong. (I live with it!)"
